Uptown Yellow

Uptown Yellow is a novel of fiction written in poetic verse. Following the journey of life within death, and death within life, Uptown Yellow is told from the narrative voices of those within the afterlife.

Following the lives of eight characters whose paths range in distance from Manhattan to Mexico, from California to Cuba, their lives are told through an interwoven poem that connects them all to a certain place within themselves and each other.
A certain heaven
A certain hell
As it is unknown to each of them in their lives whether to be true or false, they each walk and sometimes stumble the blurred line between fate and destiny, of what is to be and what was meant.

From the pedestal myths of adolescent goals
To the ruined sacrifice of bitterness
when those dreams are denied

The sorrow or sudden glory that follows
that seemingly grandest of achievements
is a victory or defeat
that upon this journey only they can write
