Touchstone For Change: A Sociology of Peace

"Think global!" "The world is quickly changing!" These are quotes that you hear or read frequently these days. They are true! The world is changing so quickly that it can be overwhelming. Are you wondering how you fit in? Are changes necessary in your life? What's going on? The groundwork for the future lies within the past and present. What was done yesterday affects today, and today will shape tomorrow. The theory is one of a continuum in which isolation of events simply does not exist. Accepting such a philosophy can be comforting, a harbinger of hope. Within its text, its fold of reason, there is the chance for peace in our time. Also, we must realize there are two ways to achieve global peace now. One is by destructiveness and devastation through our nuclear or hydrogen devices. The other is to take the route of peaceful initiative. Each moment that we are alive is a new opportunity to make a choice and take a different pathway. One of the glorious characteristics about being human is that we can change. We have free will and free choice.
