Surviving Zahra

Masuma Abbas is thrilled that her best friend Tahera is getting married and looking forward to the traditional week-long ceremonies that lead up to the wedding. She's come prepared for the fun, formalities and frustrations of the event. What she's not prepared for is Akber Turaab, Tahera's favorite uncle, who's come to town for the festivities. At first, Masuma finds Akber's gentle nature and passion for his work intriguing, but soon his attention shifts to her unique situation and his probing questions begin to threaten her carefully constructed reality.
