Do Trzech Razy Sztuka (Polish Edition)
Description
Quite an adventure story of a young couple, who in summer of 1967 parted ways with then communist Poland. And how? Those who read the author's previous book IN AN OPEN BOAT will know that he was romancing the lifeboats. So of course they left Poland in the lifeboat, this time converted to a yacht. Their trip started in Krakow, by commercial train and thanks to clever bribing the lorry with the occupants and the boat was routed to cargo trains boarder crossing. In Rijeka (Yugoslavia) the boat was lunched. Then they sailed to West Indies visiting many places along the Adriatic, the Mediterranean, the Canaries and Selvagen Islands on the Atlantic and landed in Trinidad. They taught science in a high school on Tobago and from there they cruised Caribbean. They lost the boat to rough wave, fortunately survived on the salvaged dinghy and were rescued by a tanker on its way to Panama. While waiting for the documents in Panama they joined the faculty of the Science Department at Panama University. Later they moved to Honduras and had their first contact with the medical profession. In the United States they started a successful company, manufacturing the X-Ray equipment for cardiovascular examinations.
