Description

There’s blood all over the floor. It’s difficult to tell where all the slain men’s blood stop and where his begins. He pulls a tattered and misshaped cigarette from inside his jacket and lights it with pain searing through his entire body. There are three bullet holes and a couple of open gashes over the flesh that just won’t stop oozing out his life force. The look in TC’s eyes is dim from shier exhaustion and the fire seems to have almost been completely extinguished from inside him. Men lie lifeless all over the place as he takes one last look around. He flicks open his Zippo, a nice silver one with Celtic engravings on it, sparks it to get the flame started, and inhales a sigh of relief as the smoke began to fill his lungs. Besides a quite a few wounds, he turned out on top. But it’s far from over for TC. He still has a long way to go before his last breath is spent. His pistols are still hot from the gunfight that just took place and now rest in the pools of blood next to him. There’s a faint sound, like fast footsteps, but it’s too far away to tell exactly what it is. The sound keeps getting closer and closer though. Somebody is running to where he is and he barely has enough strength to stay awake. Without hesitation, TC tries with all he has to pick up his guns and crawl to a hiding spot. He takes refuge behind some boxes near the back of the warehouse as the footsteps increasingly gets louder and louder. Was it more of the Guardian Force coming to back up their fallen comrades? Things are starting to get blurry as TC looks just beyond the boxes to two men in metallic black soldiers uniforms. Their body armor gleams in the light as they inspect the carnage that just took place. It seems to be the end of the line for TC. He had no care for life or death at that point though so he raised his chrome pistols and took aim at the soldiers. The guns seem to weigh twice as much as they used to as he has an extremely hard time taking aim. “Shit! There he is! Kill him!” One of the soldiers cried out he looked straight at him. They spotted TC just as he was about to fire, but TC got in the first shots. Bang! Bang! Two shots rang out from the bloodstained pistols and another body is added to the already slain corpses as the soldier falls to the cold and blood soaked concrete. Just then the room is exploding with flashing light as the other soldier empties his assault rifle clip at TC. The sound of an automatic machine gun vibrates the air as TC manages to dodge the bullets racing past him. As quickly as it started, it finished. The room was once again silent as the machine gun’s clip fell from the gun and clanged against the concrete below his feet. That was TC’s cue. He stood up with everything he had and let his bullets fly. It sounds like a hammer colliding with a massive wall of steel every time he let a shot off. One shell fell right after the other as the triggers constantly were being squeezed to take down the other soldier. He depleted his rounds as the soldier began to fall to the blood soaked floor. TC’s guns slip from his hands back to their holsters as he falls back to the cold, soaked concrete floor. He still has a long way to go, but not in the current condition he’s in. Sirens of the Guardian Force and ambulances could be heard heading his way and all he did was pick his cigarette back up and just sat there. After all that, the only words out of his mouth are, “Finally, I can finish my cigarette in peace.” He takes one last drag as the cigarette burns to the filter and lets it fall from his mouth and extinguishes on the ground in one of his blood pools.
