Eden Autism Services Cognitive Curriculum

This curriculum series reflects the collective experience of Eden faculty during the past 30 years of providing comprehensive, individualized services for children and adults with autism. Employing a hands-on approach, the series includes practical strategies with every teaching program provided, and each program has been successfully implemented in the lives of individuals and families served by Eden. The Cognitive Volume was developed with the unique learning needs of students with autism in mind, and includes task-analyzed teaching programs covering the skill areas of Learning Readiness, Pre-Academics, Academics, and Classroom Language/Social/Play. While this Volume is organized in a hierarchy of skills, it is important that goal selection be individualized and functional, taking into account the student s age and skill levels.
