The Borzoi Suite

Earth’s Genome Plague has forced human beings to live on scattered Homeworlds. To survive, they create a race of genetically-engineered space miners. One of these miners, JonAnderson28, makes the human race’s first contact with an alien on a planet called Borzoi Seven. This alien, called “The Presence” communicates only through sculpture. A century after JonAnderson’s initial encounter, this alien has become a tourist attraction. The Borzoi Suite chronicles the human race’s relationship with The Presence as well as with AI—the alien we created who lives inside everyone’s head. The Borzoi Suite is a fast-paced tale of love and family in the Age of Access—with a bit of "speciation driven by technology" on the side.
