My Side of the Story

Have you ever felt alone, like no one loved or appreciated you? Have you ever given someone your heart only to find that they really wasn¿t deserving of it? Have you ever loved and never received it in return, but didn¿t realize it until it was too late? Have you ever heard people talk about you, discussing things that they heard and believing them, without hearing your side? Have you ever smiled because life was better than what people told you and you had faith that you could be anything possible? The newest collection of poetry entitled, My Side of The Story, focuses on the thoughts, feelings, emotions, life's obstacles, racial inequality, and heartbreak, in which women often leave untold. As Women, we are told to be strong because that is our nature, Don't Stop at Adversity because we have the strength to overcome mountains. We can never give up no matter what, because we carry the nations on our shoulders. These poetic stories, written by Charron Monaye, are the thoughts of many women finally having the voice to speak out, including her own, allowing others to know how it feels to be hurt, abused, taking advantage of, loved, cared for, appreciated, or in enraged.
