The Ethiopian

The year is 162AD, and Kaleb, Ethiopian émigré and director of the Religious Archives Division of the Library of Alexandria, has just been given a mission that will take him across the known world from Egypt to Parthia and beyond. Threatened by an impending war between empires, hunted by a nefarious Pythagorean cabal and seduced by the young widow of a powerful Roman politician, Kaleb, accompanied by his trusted servant Zoskalis, will sail the Mediterranean, cross the Syrian desert and navigate the Euphrates to accomplish his seemingly impossible goal, the acquisition of the elusive Zoroastrian scriptures.
