A man in his early 30s realizes his wild ways are about to land him in jail – or worse yet end up in his death. He reevaluates his priorities after a high-speed motorcycle pursuit, and he meets a woman from his past he figures to settle down with. Five months into their relationship, the unthinkable happens when he has a motocross accident. He is flown on the Air Link where he is diagnosed with a broken neck and a spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis. Two weeks later, he is flown to Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, to start his rehabilitation for his life as a quadriplegic. He quickly comes to terms with his paralysis after realizing what he means to his family and friends. His zest for life quickly becomes infectious on the people around him, and inspires everyone at Craig Hospital.
