📖 Description
Since the 1950s, the Guillemin family has travelled to their summer retreat in Truchas, an isolated village perched on a cliffside in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in New Mexico. While in her teens, Guillemin captured oral history through interviews with some of Truchas' oldest residents. Using lyrical language, precise imagery, and a simpatico voice, Guillemin transports the reader to a not-so-distant past. Join this storyteller on a nostalgic journey to discover Truchas where the miraculous and the tragic, woven into the fabric of everyday life, live on in this collection of poems.
