95% of Canadians don’t trust politicians and 98% of Canadians don’t belong to a political party. So why do we have to vote for politicians? Since the first Parliament in Canada the corruption and scandals have been on-going. While Canadians put their hope in the next leader or the next promise it has become readily apparent – politicians will never deliver a solution. However, the only thing Canadians need to do to rescue their democracy is to build an online community. A community of registered voters. Which eventually will become the government of Canada. You don’t need a ‘bricks and mortar’ government when you have participatory democracy. Who will build this system? Volunteers. Think it can’t be done? It’s already happening. Online systems all over the world are based on a model of decentralization pioneered by management legend Peter Drucker in the 1940’s. Your world has been transformed by them even if you don’t realize it. And these systems rely on the participation of everyone in the organization. Everyone has a say. Which, incidentally, is how a democracy is supposed to work. And once Canada builds a system, it will be available for everyone in the world. Wow. So what will it be?
