Anya is a girl who is posing as a male and serves guard duty at a military post designed by humans. She belongs to a genetically engineered species of the "Dogs . Their planet used to be Earth's penal colony, but humanity was destroyed long ago on the mother planet. In this place, surviving humans live like gods and all the work is done by Dogs.
