Is a Text a Human Being? applies a non-dual approach to composition and reading theory. Challenging the conventional model in which reader and writer are separate, the author presents an alternate model of the self in which mind is shared. He then applies this model to the experiences of reading and writing. The book originated as a master's thesis.
