Sr. Vincent has left behind a body of work that is compelling in its modernism at the same time that it engages complex Catholic theology. Her work demonstrates that modernism and Catholicism coexisted throughout the twentieth century even as this relationship expressed in artistic practice was largely ignored by modern critics and scholars of art.
