St. Louis, Mo.--Following a visit of W. C. Durant and Walter P. Chrysler, president of the Buick Motor Company, it is believed in St. Louis that a Buick assembling plant will soon be located there. New York, N. Y.--The Christiana Machine Company, 30 Church street, is planning for the early construction of a new shop, about 75 x 100 ft., on property recently acquired at Richmond Terrace anci Bodine street, West New Brighton, Staten Island. Detroit, Mich.--D. McCall White, who resigned as chief engineer of the Cadillac Motor Car Company, some time ago, has returned to the position. After leaving the Cadillac company Mr. White was retained on the engineering staff of the General Motors Company by W. C. Durant, and has been returned to his former position by R. H. Collins, now president and general manager. Grand Rapids, Mich.--The Michigan Central railroad is contemplating the erection of a roundhouse and boiler house in Grand R1apids. Present plans call for a building one story in height and costing $50,000. A. B. Neiss, at the Michigan Central Junction, Jackson, will be the architect, and H. A. Horning, of the same address, superintendent of construction. Racine, Wis.--The Mitchell Wragon Company, of this city, founded in 1855, has ceased to exist and the buildings have been turned over to the Mitchell Motor Company.
