The woman violated, to whom the right of satisfaction and recompense is reserved, may at the same time ju E 3 ridically ridically obtain some sufficient settlement, proportioned to the wealth of the criminal. 133The assistance given in the commission of a rape, shall be punished by the severe imprisonment for a limited time in the second degree, and by condemnation to the public works; which, according to circumstances, might be augmented by corporal punishment. Those who have been aiding in the commission of a rape, are also obliged to grant satisfaction and recompense, and settlement of some kind, to the person violated, if the property of the criminal alone be not sufficient. 134He, who without the knowledge and consent of the lawful magistrate gets possession, by force or address, of any man whose abode is within the confines of the state, to deliver him, contrary to his will, to a foreign state, to a foreign power, or otherwise in the hereditary dominions, making use Of any unjust authority, is guilty of forcibly carrying away a subject. 35 The punishment for this crime is the severe imprisonment imprisonment of long duration, in the first degree; and this punishment may be augmented, if the criminal is a natural subject. 136.
