Primavera

Primavera is the fifth book of verse by Thomas DeFreitas, the first since the publication of Under All Silences, his collected poems up to 2013. Throughout the pages of Primavera, we see DeFreitas's special brand of exuberance: his rapturous greetings to each new season, his novel depictions of the contemporary scene, and his loving chronicles of life in Massachusetts. There are elegies. There are satires. There are even a few poems in praise of coffee!
