VOLTAMP AND BOUCHER

Between 1904 and 1934, two manufacturers set the standard for quality in American-made tinplate electric model trains: the Voltamp Electric Manufacturing Company of Baltimore, Maryland, and Boucher, Inc. of New York City. This book traces the model train-related history of both companies, and suggests a production time line through an analysis of their catalogs. Also included are photos and descriptions of many of the electric model trains and some of the related products they manufactured. Finally, included is a brief look at reproductions created by modern day craftsmen who were inspired by Voltamp and Boucher.
