Scratch and Python: The Basics (Coding Unlocked)

Coding Unlocked is a fun and accessible coding book, guiding children through simple coding concepts and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to become active participants in a digital world. In line with the new National Curriculum, the book will teach two programming languages in parallel, moving sequentially through key coding concepts. These will be illustrated with a narrative-driven problem to solve using Python, and a project to create using Scratch. It will guide the reader through the learning process, building skills gradually, and providing lots of practical examples to try out and consolidate new ideas. Exiting context and adventures will add fun to the exercises, and help readers understand the point of coding and the ways coding could be useful to them in their real lives.
