Comparative study of Tony Morrison''s Sula and Chitra Banerjee Divakarunis The Vine of Desire and Sister of my Heart. These novels deal with friendship among women and hour this relatioship is affected when one of the members betrays the other. This work comes to prove that people from different ethnic communitites, in this case African American and Asian American women, react in a similar way when placed under the same circustances. Showing here that gender alliegances are stronger than cultural ones.
