Ray Folger lost his wife Doris eight years ago. He hasn t put up a Christmas tree since. Sequestered in his tiny two-bedroom apartment, Ray is content to spend his days watching TV with one eye, and the family across the way with the other. But one fateful Christmas Eve, when December seems to pass without a single blinking light in the apartment across the way, old Ray decides to investigate. Seeing the funeral wreath upon the family s front door, Ray puts two and two together. No father. No tree. No Christmas. Slipping on his favorite sweat suit and clipping on his fanny pack, Ray laces up his Velcro shoes and heads off to find the family across the way a proper Christmas tree. But will Ray be able to find a tree in time?
