A Touch of Velvet

A Touch of Velvet is an historical romance set in America during the early nineteenth century. Escaping a forced marriage to an evil man, Tristen Corbett inadvertently becomes a guest in the home of the very man she wants to marry-Major Ian Hunter, the handsome war hero, who saved her life when she was a girl. Ian has reservations about this lovely, spirited girl with troubling secrets, but her beauty and vow of eternal love are difficult to ignore. And although her stubbornness half-impairs him, he sees her as always refreshing. Every word she speaks is the dearest, and the last of her kisses are the most enchanting.
