Yellow Rose: A Story of an American War

A science-fiction/adventure story set in the near future in which Texas decides to leave the United States and re-start its fortunes as a sovereign Texas Republic. The move splits the American people apart as delighted conservatives flock to support the new country and stunned and horrified liberals vow to keep the new nation from coming about. Acrimony finally gives way to violence as the United States military prepares to move into Texas to prevent the state from leaving Federal authority. But the leaders of the new Texas Republic have anticipated trouble, and they are ready to offer a military answer.
