Breaking the Chain

This book is a "testimony" of the life of Stacy Holcomb. It is about living in an abusive life with her parents, and brother. At the beginning of the book, it talks of suppressed feelings, both emotionally and physically. About dealing with drugs, sexual abuse, and neglect. It deals with being scared to death of her father, and the hate that she felt towards her father most of her life. And how she felt that she had to deal with these issues. The whole purpose of writing this book is to wake up many Americans that have lived this very same life and to realize that you don''t have to be miserable the rest of your life. It talks of picking up the pieces and moving on and living the best life that you can. At the end of the book it talks about forgiveness and hopefully having a respectful relationship with her parents. The whole purpose of this book is to hopefully help people turn their lives around and stop hating themselves, and to hopefully learn to love themselves, and God and stop committing suicide.
