A student and great admirer of Mark Twain, Bob Hammer doesn’t profess to equal his hero’s writing prowess, much to Mr. Hammer’s credit. He simply and wisely chooses to follow the path already set forth by the original book, and he succeeds in doing just that.

Bob Hammer’s writing is faithful to the original, with expression and clarity. Readers will continue to enjoy the adventures of the young characters Huck and Tom as they journey homeward and meet new characters, like the white man Cedric who lives with the Indians, and attending Indian celebrations. They are also able to play one final, avenging trick on the duke and the king, bringing the storey full cycle.

Highly recommended for its unique aspect, not to mention its pure enjoyment, this book is a must read on everyone’s list.
