The Great Tithing Scam: Damned if You Do, and Damned if You Don't

Some have said that the word "scam" is too strong for a book that argues against the church's most sacred cow, but "scam" is exactly the right word because tithing has been put forth as a duty that will earn that which Christ suffered and died to freely give us. Not only is it wrong to suggest that tithing will do what Christ died to do, such as open heaven or make one right with God, but such teaching is an insult to His sacrifice and in reality, an enemy to the Cross even as circumcision was in the early church. Yes, tithing (keeping the Law) opened heaven under the Old Covenant, but under the New, Christ did it all. Works (tithing) are no longer necessary. We have been unconsciously led back under the Old Testament Law, and its curse, with imagined tithing promises that have gone way beyond even that which Malachi promised. Under the guise of "obedience, faithfulness and stewardship," we've been duped into believing we must prove ourselves (as the returning prodigal son intended) without realizing that practicing the Law (tithing) blocks us from becoming sons and heirs according to Galatians 4:5. Do you know that The book of Malachi was never intended to be instruction to the New Testament church? Malachi was only meant for the Jews who were under the Law before total redemption came through Christ. All the ordinances in Malachi (including tithing) were nailed to Jesus' cross, according to Colossians chapter 2? Contrary to most teaching, tithing TRULY IS part of the Law, Matt. 23:23 & Mal. 3:7, and tithing IS NOT giving? The NT ONLY endorses "free will" giving!
