Swimming Lessons

Many of the short stories in Swimming Lessons have appeared in slightly different versions in literary journals; some, including the title story, have won awards in contests sponsored by these journals and other organizations. The two stories in the last section, KADDISH and THE BOX, are inspired by true happenings. The others are fiction.
