Staggered

Some books should
be open to
the sky.

No walls-only wonders-
everyone who hears
the word is fed.

Seeds, soil, sun
and water become
upspringing wheat

and plumped grapes bursting,
bread and wine
not far behind.

Body and blood transformed
as we drink
the wine of astonishment.
