Jerry Hamric is simply everyman, albeit with a unique viewpoint, trying to get through life as it presents itself to him. He's worked as a gas attendant, custodian, production worker, roofer, musician and so on, all the while watching the way people act, almost as an alien from another planet would. This is a book about what he sees and thinks.

He lives a simple, no-frills life in southwestern Pennsylvania.
