Sticks and Stones

Alison is a young girl of fifteen, who has had to leave her home due to her parents divorce. Her mum needed to get away from the memories of her marriage and start afresh. Alison doesn't want to leave her dad but goes to live with her mum and grandmother. She starts a new school and from day one has problems with bullies whomentally and physically abuse her. She meets two friends, they both try and convince Alison to tell an adult about what is happening, but she can't bring herself to do so, not realising that things would get better. Will Alison tell the teacher, her mum or will it be a stranger that helps her decide who to confide in?
