The first in a series of four books on the theme of Optimism, IT PAYS TO BE AN OPTIMIST is a collection of light-hearted anecdotes gleaned from the author's experience of going through life as a trainee optimist. The topics range from 'Manifestation' to 'Intuition' and ' Soulmates', the leitmotiv being that when we believe in our dreams and follow our intuition, our dreams do come true. The book is full of tips, including on topics as varied as holistic health and on how to let go of fear and live a life free from danger. It also touches on more global issues such as the plight of the homeless and 'illegal' immigrants through the experience of the author's years in Calais at the height of the refugee crisis resulting from the war in Kosovo followed by the one in Iraq
