A Tale of Apples: Ringo Monogatari

When Henji, a young lord rejected by his family due to the circumstances of his birth, loses his heart to a mountain witch, Ringoko, the peasant daughter of the tree god, must help him to get retrieve it, while convincing him that he does in fact want it back. Set in Heian (medieval) Japan, the protagonists journey through Japanese myths and legends in their quest to retrieve Henji's heart.
