This book contains eight plays. In 2006 the play Fete and Rumshop Save the Environment was performed by the youth group at the Nistar Presbyterian Church in Chase Village. Four of the plays—Marriage in Islam…Boy Meets Girl, Everlasting Hate, Mother's Day, and The Office of the Principal of SaghsView College—were performed at St. Augustine Girls' High School in Trinidad, West Indies. The short play Nah Leavin' was in the top five of the first Secondary Schools Film Festival in Trinidad and Tobago.

Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh is a lecturer at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad, West Indies. He has published two books of plays and a collection of poems. Teelucksingh has contributed chapters on Carnival, C.L.R James, Eric Williams, Caribbean migration, child slaves, and the Italian-Ethiopian War of 1935.
