I Survived

I'll tell you a little about myself. I m sure we all have a story to tell, and I ve heard that a lot of times. This story in not just about me but also about every little girl who has grown up not feeling part of their family. I was thinking that we don't have the choice of where or when we're born or what family we re born into.

My story is a fictional account of what I thought my growing-up years were. I think we all see the things that happened to us in different ways. You can ask others in your family, and they'll say "I don't remember that," or, "You re making that up." This story is like that, although some of the things are true, but the choices I made were all mine When I had a choice. I saw things with limited vision and only looked at my situation. I didn t think to remember What the Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path." I did not do that for most of my life, and because of that, I made a lot of bad choices.

God said in Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom and with thy getting get understanding." I thank God that he has let me look back at my life and know for sure that he has loved me through it all. He has forgiven me and accepted me as his child just because I asked. That's what I want people to know about me. I've learned that Jesus is real and waiting for us to come home. Eternity is too long to ignore.
