Hey! You Guys: Ever Been Out in a Boat Before?

This is a true story written about four thirty-plus-year-old friends wanting to get more out of life than just sitting on their thumbs and doing the slow decay thingy!

We couldn't afford to be great world travelers, but on a whim one day we decided to do something we could all take on: short trips for boating and fishing.

Even though we knew nothing about it, there wasn't a thing wrong with the idea in my book.

We took it upon ourselves to learn the hard way, you know, ''Just do it!''

This story has all the friendship, the laughing, bickering, and caring about each other all rolled into it.

Don't get any funny ideas, but we practically lived together on our trips.

I believe it to be very comical at times, yet a sometimes painful set of all true happenings. I can say every one of us truly enjoyed it all.

It is funny, hopefully interesting, and truthful to the end. I believe it is worth printing.

It may not have been much of a ''golden ring'' for us to grab for, but it was our golden ring!

I dedicate this book to my beloved wife, Fran (May), who has sadly since passed on.
