Description
Two friends who were students at St. Anthony's High School in Philadelphia meet years later. Arturo Villanova has become a hunted killer, while Robert Matteo has developed into a successful financial advisor. Villanova is involved with the Mafia and is sent to Grand Cayman Island to recover ten million dollars of mob money when he meets his old high school friend, Robert Matteo. Villanova is captured and returned to Philadelphia, where Mafia boss Carmine Manzi wants him killed before he talks to the authorities about what he knows about the murder of Markus Schumann, President of a Swiss Bank in Zurich and other activities of the Philadelphia mob. A failed attempt by the mob to kill Villanova allows him to escape his captors and flee Philadelphia. Detectives Alexander Cooper and Charles Hartman are assigned to capture him and follow his trail of violence and murder across the country, aided by FBI Agent David Marshall. Robert Matteo has created a successful advisory firm in San Diego and is respected by his community and honored by his profession. His childhood friendship with Villanova takes several strange twists as friend turns against friend. Matteo meets an extremely wealthy attorney from San Francisco who relocates to San Diego. They develop a working relationship and ultimately create a Charitable Foundation, but fate interferes with their future.
