Omri The Visitor

When Omri MacKarden dies accidentally, he seems to be left on his own. Omri's family is hidden from his spirit eyes by a Veil of Anguish. Curious, he visits the house his family used to own, and meets Jensen Winterhall. At last, help arrives when suicide-ghost-girl Magic Sborski is assigned to be Omri's Guide. In order to enter the Afterlife, both Omri and Magic must help someone who is still alive. The afterlife teems with powerful creatures, including Argenteers and Aurumeers whose abilities are otherworldly. After he completes his task Omri will be able to see his family, although he can never join them again. The ghost-boy chooses to help Jensen overcome his shyness. Meanwhile, Omri's best friend, Parker, still lives across the street. Omri also wants to let his parents and sister know that he is all right; but he chooses to do that in a way that plunges him into big trouble with the Argenteers.
