Murder on M99

It is early in the year 1988. Detective Constable Elisabeth Andresen, a recent graduate of the police training college in Hendon, is beginning a career which, she hopes, will satisfy her throughout her life. As her first assignment, Liz has become a part of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Mile End station of the London Metropolitan Police. As the first assignment of her new career she joined a team that was investigating the mysterious deaths of homeless persons within a relatively-confined area of London’s East End. The fact that all of the vagrants had died under similar circumstances had prompted the police investigation. Before the mystery of the deaths was solved and the murderer brought to justice, there was a time interval of four years, and the total number of victims rose to eleven.
