The Ring Of Venus

In The Ring of Venus, Liz Andresen, now a detective sergeant with the London Metropolitan Police, at first is involved with the investigation of the murder and mutilation of the body of a young prostitute. As the investigation progresses, another of the prostitutes falls victim to a murderer. It is discovered that the murder victims were members of a ring of prostitution that is controlled by a ruthless enforcer; the man responsible for the murders. However, in due course, it is discovered that the enforcer acted only under orders of an elusive figure, whose identity becomes revealed ultimately, due primarily to a lucky break.
