1. - The Geisha and the Gorilla is the FIRST in the eight book "OCTAGON" series. After WWII's actual combat ended there continued a period of false euphoria for Americans assigned to the United States Army Occupation of Japan. The Yokohama C.I.D. was put together from a motley crew of American soldiers, both black and white, who were compelled to make major attitude adjustments toward each other as well as to their former enemies, some of whom they had to rely upon to suppress the postwar crime wave.
