He was an early follower of the seminal Sigmund Freud, being once described as "Freud's most distinguished pupilâ€, and commonly hailed as one of the founding progenitors of modern psychoanalytical methodology. Other books written by Stekel include: The interpretation of dreams (1943) and Compulsion and Doubt (1950). This book is republished now with a new introductory biography of the author.
