It was a knockout phone call! Former boxer and author Peter Aldridge was left on the ropes after he received a well-wishing call from Sir Henry Cooper whom he hadn't seen for more than 30 years! Peter is a former sparring partner of the former Uk, Commonwealth and European heavyweight champ and when Sir Henry found out through a mutual friend that his old mate was suffering from Parkinson's Disease he got straight on the blower to wish him well. That was a couple of years ago, but Peter Aldridge is not one to let adversity get him down. He had many memories so decided to put pen to paper. 'Famous Fights and Famous Fighters' is the result. The book is an anthology of stories about hotly contested fights by some of the world's most famous boxers.
