The Morning After Suicide

Ps. Astrid Staley shares her journey of navigating life following the aftermath of her precious daughter Jade Kimberley Quilligan's suicide. Jade a young mother rocked the small Qld community of Gracemere on July 6th 2010, when she took her life and the life of her eight month old son after suffering eight months of postnatal depression. This is a story of the power of God's grace during the days and months following this tragedy, in a hope that her story will help other survivors of suicide find peace and know that there is life after suicide. Ps. Astrid also traces the historical understanding of suicide to our present day and how that has impacted the way we handle discussions surrounding this subject, or more often than not why we avoid them, and offers a theological response as to the eternal destination of suicides.
