They understand the importance of his dreams but are very unhappy at what the dreams portend for Joseph's prophetic elevation over and above the family members as a whole. An opportunity presents itself when Jacob sends young Joseph on an errand to go in search of his brothers who are late in returning from shepherding in the fields.
