Migrating with Roots: A Novel

Little does Ginger McFarley realize when she accompanies her sister, Amelia, to the 1992 Olympics that she has begun a journey which will profoundly affect her life. She only wants a little excitement. In Spain, she meets and falls in love with Arturo Gonzalez. Ginger manages to finish college before moving to California with Arturo where she learns more than she really wants to know about him. After his untimely death, she flies to England, staying with Sylva Stobart, who had become her friend after they met in Spain. Another man enters her life in London, an affluent but dark figure who enjoys playing games with women. Ginger's brief relationship with Terje Faegri has soured her on men, unfortunate, since she will meet the gentle and understanding Daniel Ellis in Nashville. The death of Ginger's father complicates the new relationship with Daniel and forces her to deal with the emotional baggage which has long traveled with her.
