Tom Swift: Guarding our Border: Swift by Name and Swift by Nature!

US Customs has been fruitlessly pursuing terrorists who have been smuggling over the Canadian border using airships. When Tom's old nemesis shows up with a new airship, the plot begins to thicken. Fortunately Tom has invented a searchlight brighter than any other "of peculiar strength and intensity". The brilliant beam, mounted on Tom's "noiseless" airship Falcon, is used to discover and capture the international terrorists and criminal syndicate of smugglers. This is one fantastic cloak and dagger/genius invention story! Tom Swift, the inspirational boyhood hero of Steve Wozniak and Isaac Asimov, is an all-American young inventor in his teens. Swift was modeled after the entrepreneurial and inventive geniuses Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, who both changed our world more than any other two people. Like Arthur C. Clarke, Swift invented or predicted many modern discoveries including the Taser, camcorder, video-phone, electric car, and several others.
