The Table of Truth: Love knows no borders

"Every day is the same when you feel worthless." That just about sums up Jake's feelings about himself and his life. Nearing middle age, having never really succeeded at anything, he needs an adventure. He travels to Tijuana where he meets "Nina," a prostitute working at a brothel. Curious about her life, he asks her a series of questions at a table where they both promise to tell nothing but the truth. "Nina," whose real name is Marisela, begins to question her own life. No one had ever asked her opinions before. She had spent her life supporting her drug-dealing boyfriend and raising four children, for whom she would do anything. But now she wants something more. Something better for herself and her children. 'The Table of Truth' follows Marisela's incredible journey as she struggles to escape from the life of prostitution, drugs, and alcoholism; and the love between her and Jake proves that love knows no borders.
