Shy Harold and His Hiding Place

"Shy Harold and His Hiding Place" is a story about a ten year old boy who has autism. Some of the symptoms of autism are: not being able to accept change, having tantrums, rocking, and not being able to communicate well with others. Harold would have major tantrums when something in his life would change. He preferred if everything would stay the same but Harold was about to go through a major change in his life, Harold and his parents were moving! By moving everything was going to change in Harold's life. He and his family will be living in a new town and a new house, but the one thing that really scared Harold about the big change of moving was the fact that he would have to change schools. When Harold heard the news about moving his parents knew what was coming next -- a tantrum!
