On a normal day in the year 1475BCE, a strangely dressed 80-year-old man suddenly appeared in Egypt. This man called himself, Moses. He came from Midian, a country far from Egypt. The Jews didn't know this unusual looking person who, on arrival, told them he was there, because God commanded him to force the Pharaoh to release them from slavery. Later, when Moses confronted the Pharaoh, the most powerful man in the world, and made his demand, the Pharaoh did not have him beheaded, exiled, jailed, or just make him a slave. Why? Were the Jews who didn't know him, concerned that the Pharaoh would make their lives harder? Would he take retribution on them? Would those who were well treated, like Boaz and Channah, want to be freed? This is the story of people who lived in Egypt, when Moses and his brother Aaron arrived to challenge the Pharaoh.
